Late Night is a typeface inspired by the energy and movement of night life. I used varying widths in the strokes to add movement qualities. The variations in x-heights add a dynamic energy to the overall look of the font.
The sans serif typeface is intended to be used in an urban atmosphere. It plays off of a traditional sans serif, remaining legible while utilizing playful modifications.
I used the typeface to build out the brand for a theoretical NYC-based night club with the same name: Late Night. The font and brand feels modern and youthful, yet sophisticated. Late Night, the typeface, is used to help create the ambiance of a night club. It is bold and intriguing, inviting those who are in search of a party and the energy that comes with
night life.
